Complete installation guide for Linux distributions and Steam Deck
Before starting, make sure you have:
For Steam Deck, switch to Desktop Mode first by holding the Power button.
Locate where The Sims 4 is installed. Common paths:
~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/The Sims 4
Or for Steam Deck:
/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/The Sims 4
Download the DLC files from our website and extract them to a folder.
Download DLCsCopy the DLC Unlocker files to your game directory:
cp -r ~/Downloads/dlc-unlocker/* ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/The\ Sims\ 4/
Make sure The Sims 4 is completely closed before copying files.
Launch The Sims 4 through Steam as usual. The DLCs should now appear in game!
Enable mods in Game Options > Other > Enable Custom Content and Mods
